Direct transcontinental flights to Prague

There are few civil airports at Czech Republic but major hub to enter country is Prague airport Ruzyně [PRG]. Even to reach this airport is not so straightforward as we can expect for European country. Well, there are many flights but most of them are just around Europe w for short distances. There are only few direct long-halt flights. Make short overview of them.

National carrier Czech Airlines operates mostly flights around Europe only. It offers also few direct transcontinental flights to (each flight is operated just few times a week, actual schedule check at Czech Airlines):

Most of these flights are operated by Airbus A310 or Boeing 737.

There is one direct flight operated by Korean Air from Soul (Incheon International airport [ICN]), Korea Republic, and Prague [PRG]. Frequency is three or four times a week depending on the season and used aircraft is Airbus A330. At May 2007 Delta Airlines is coming to Czech and starts to operate direct flight between Atlanta [ATL], USA, and Prague [PRG]. Frequency should be 5 times a week and aircraft should be Boeing 767.

It is all direct flights known for now. There are many possibilities how to reach Prague airport with stops – just go through some European hub airport such as Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or London. Probably the best way is to go via Paris [CDG] or Amsterdam [AMS]. These two airports are the most connected from Prague thanks to the members of SkyTeam alliance (Czech Airlines is also member).
